Amy Tsai

Product Designer

A seasoned product designer with over 8 years of experience in end-to-end UI/UX design. Drawing from her work across diverse sectors, Amy brings a unique perspective and versatility, enabling her to design products that meet user needs and elevate industry standards.

 

Amy is redesigning the assessment, procurement, and management experience for solar, battery, and electrification solutions, creating intuitive and user-centered designs.

Andrew Lister

CEO & Managing Director

Andrew is an Energy Engineer with 20+ years' experience providing energy and carbon advice and strategy to commercial, industrial and mining customers. He has completed over two hundred energy projects for businesses across Australia.

 

Andrew co-founded Beam in 2016 to make easier for businesses to assess, procure and manage solar, battery and electrification projects.

Harry Binnendijk

Head of Software Engineering

Harry is a seasoned software developer with a keen drive to turn Beam's ambitious growth strategy into effective software solutions. Modern functional programming techniques and strong team development are the cornerstones to help realise market opportunities.

 

Accelerated, sustainable electrification is the major challenge of our time and Harry is proud to play a role in its realisation at Beam.

 

Harmeet Singh

Energy Engineer

Harmeet is an accomplished Electrical Engineer with 8 years of experience in renewable energy, specializing in solar PV, battery storage, and power systems. He excels in grid integration, regulatory compliance, and optimizing energy solutions.

 

With a Master’s in Electrical Engineering from RMIT, he is advancing in renewable energy and power systems, committed to driving sustainable and efficient engineering outcomes. 

 

Soma Young

Energy Engineer

Soma is an Energy Engineer with a Bachelor of Renewable Energy from UNSW. Soma has contributed to the continued development and growth of the energy industry and transition to a greener future.

 

Soma specialises in solar PV and battery system optimisation, design and quality, as well as analysis of performance and economics.

 

Tom Hutchinson

Chief Technology Officer

Tom is a full-stack software developer and has worked on a diverse range of software projects, from education tools and games to wireless network monitoring and asset management platforms. Tom loves to work on interactive experiences in the browser.

Tom is a former teacher and is passionate about libre software, permacomputing, education and the future of the Web.

Zac Inglis

Energy Engineer

Zac is an Energy Engineer and Product Manager with expertise in PV and battery system design, including front-of-meter revenue modelling for C&I batteries.
 
With over six years in commercial solar, Zac brings deep industry knowledge to project management and owner’s engineering, driving successful project outcomes for complex, large-scale energy solutions.
