This project posed unique challenges through the combined operation of rooftop solar & gas generation. To add to this, the site comprised of two split electricity supplies under one NMI, and several segregated rooftop systems which required complex cable reticulation to get back to the main switch room. Specific attention was needed to ensure coordinated protection between the solar and cogens, and this added time and delays to the grid application which is still under final review.
